Those interested in entering works for jury consideration should complete the 
Gallery of Art Artist Entry Form no later than April 26th, 2013.

Jury fees are non-refundable and are payable via check or via PayPal.

Meet Our Jurors:

TOM GARGIULO, President and CEO of the Gargiulo Art Foundation, Inc. moved to Palm Coast from Connecticut in 1994.  He completed studies at Art Instruction Schools and Washington School of Art (full scholarship) while in high school.  He earned an Associates Degree from Jr. College of Connecticut, BS and MS Degrees and Sixth Year Professional Certificate from the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut, in Graphic Design, Fine Art, Art Education and Administration.  Gargiulo is the recipient of numerous national and international awards.  He has more than 150 solo shows to his credit throughout New England, New York City, Europe and Florida.  His art is in many public and private collections, including Connecticut’s Museum of Arts and Sciences, Fairfield Connecticut’s Town Art Collection, The Bridgeport Public Library, Stamford Educational Art Collection, Connecticut Education Association, Hartford; Daytona Beach Community College and State of Florida Art Collection.  The seventy four year old artist is listed in “Art In America - 2002-03 Guide.   

Arlene C. Volpe Prior to moving from Trumbull Connecticut to Palm Coast, Florida, Ms. Volpe served as Co-Director for Art in Europe Tours.  She was editor for Connecticut Art Education Regional Newsletters; served on the New England Art Education Conference Advisory Board and assisted with producing March’s “Youth Art Month” exhibits at the Bridgeport Public Library and art exhibits at the Polka Dot Playhouse to coincide with their current plays, for many years.

     Upon arriving in Palm Coast, FL. in 1994, Arlene served as Showcase Director for the Flagler County Council for the Arts for five years, producing monthly fine art group and solo exhibits in the lobby of the Flagler Auditorium.  She has assisted local art organizations with exhibits, receptions, publicity, hanging, newsletters, etc.

     As an Artists’ Representative, Ms. Volpe has negotiated and arranged solo and group shows at such prestigious venues as the Ormond Museum of Art and the Orlando Fine Arts Museum Founders Gallery, for her clients.  Over the years, she has volunteered to cover visual art activities for several publications including the Flagler County/Daytona Tribune, Palm Coast Courier, Palm Coast Neighborhood News, and Villager’s Voices.  She Co-Directed the “Artists’ Gallery in both Flagler Beach and Bunnell, Florida.  Arlene continues to serve as Director, Secretary and Treasurer of the Gargiulo Art Foundation since its inception in 2000

Dorothy Peebles-Pelley, an Artist and Illustrator and Commercial Artist, is the Current Galley Director for the Oxford Cultural Arts Commission.  She will again be one of the jurors representing the OCAC in the juror process for the upcoming 2013 OCAC Gallery of Art Showcase Exhibit to take place May 24th through May 26th, 2013.

Dorothy is known as both a fine artist and commercial artist/illustrator.  Her work has been exhibited in shows and galleries and included in private collections throughout the country.  A winner of numerous show awards and many other prizes, she has her own line of collectibles, note cards, and art prints.  Her illustrations appear in many books and magazines including Houghton and Mifflin, C.R. Gibson, DMS Inc. and New Yorker, Time, Aerospace Week, NATO 16 Nations.  She is the creator of crewel and needlework designs for major manufacturers such as American Family Crafts and Bernat Yarn, Company.

Oxford Happenings
   Grant Awarded

We are pleased to announce that we were awarded a $4200 grant for operating expenses  by the Katharine Matthies' Foundation.

This grant will go a long way for our organization and assist several of our programs.
