Mission Statement:
The mission of the Oxford Cultural Arts Commission (OCAC) is to “encourage within the Town of Oxford, participation in, and promotion, development, acceptance and appreciation of, artistic and cultural activities which include, but are not limited to, music, theater, dance, painting, sculpture, architecture, literature, films, and allied arts and crafts, and to this end may join with private patrons and with institutions and professional organizations.”

It is the mission of said organization to enhance the quality of life of its citizens and surrounding communities through the support of the arts. The OCAC will support, enhance, and facilitate artistic endeavors to include the performing arts (music, dance and theatrical), visual arts, literary arts and cinematography. Funding to this end will be in the form of Town monies, gifts, contributions and bequests from businesses and individuals, and grant acquisitions from foundations, corporations and other organizations.

The Red Lantern - a Nun Fiction

February 25th, 7pm
Oxford Grange

The Nine Mile Players Theater Group is proud to announce the winner of their fall playwright contest: Bill Metivier of Southbury, Conn. Bill’s winning entry The Red Lantern-A Nun Fiction, is a hilarious comedy about four nuns who end up in a night full of wild and unexpected fun.  A staged reading of The Red Lantern will be performed at the Oxford Grange on February 25th at 7:00 pm.

The Nine Mile Players will accept a suggested monetary donation of $5.00 or a nonperishable food item for admission. Nonperishable items collected will be donated to the Oxford Emergency Food bank, sponsored by the Oxford Ambulance Association.
