"Sacred Dance is a joyful celebration of movement which unites people in community- a community where people are moving toward a spiritual center and a community where all persons are included as equals. It is a physical expression of harmony and prayer which results in a feeling of peace.

Sacred Dance can take many forms. It can be an individual dance which is quiet and reverent, or upbeat and joyous. Much of Sacred Dance is done in a circle , which conveys a sense of unity. These circles can represent a variety of cultures and ways of life.

One of the most powerful forms of Sacred Dance is a Healing Circle, which consists of two circles of dancers interfacing through slow hand and arm motions with a partner. This is designed to convey a feeling of oneness and acceptance of all people.

A session of Sacred Dance provides a physical, mental and spiritual nourishment, and it unites people in harmony, thereby helping to expand peace in the world."
